"Ascend" Original

Ascend  is a 18 by 24 inch original in a black wood and glass frame. This piece features a Bald Eagle with a Rainbow Trout in its talons, bursting out of the trout are California Poppies. 

The piece was created using a dip pen and India ink. Each dip of the pen allows 5-7 strokes before it must be dipped again into an ink well. 

Ascend  is part of my Decay Collection, which features natural flora and fauna found in Northern California.
